GAF is a not-for-profit CSR initiative of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Limited dedicated to promote competitive swimming in India. GAF’s vision is to enable Indian swimmers achieve podium finishes in International competitions. Aquatic Sport has the maximum number of finals in the Olympic Games. To become a global sporting power it is imperative to succeed in the sport of swimming. GAF intends to achieve its objectives by transforming the ecosystem of the sport in India. GAF was established in 2015.

Support to the National Federation
January 2015
The first center of GAF was started in January 2015 at the District Sports Complex at Dharavi.
June 2016
Glenmark Aquatic Foundation and the Sports Authority of India colloborted to launch the second center of GAF at Dr SPMSPC Swimming Complex at Talkatora Delhi. The center features state of the art infrastructure coupled with a residential complex.
September 2018
GAF spread it’s wings to the south of the country by starting its third center in collaboration with Ray Center at Wilson Garden in Bengaluru
January 2019
The Center in Mumbai moved from Dharavi to Goregaon Sports Complex. The GSC provided much better infrastructure and facilities for swimmers.
June 2020
GAF and SAI launched an ambitious project to improve the standards of coaching in India. swim.clinic is a multilingual Coach education interactive portal aimed at providing Coaches to learn in their own language.
November 2021
GAF and SAI extended their relationship by opening a second center at the prestigious Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education (LNCPE), Thiruvananthapuram. The Center started from November 8th 2021. The center features a 50m pool and facilities for sports science
