Ian Els joins GAF

Ian Els has been involved in swimming teaching and coaching for the past 12 years.

His key focus area with swimmers is developing good technique and redefining sound propulsive mechanics. He has run successful development programmes, setting the foundation for many top age group swimmers in his home country of South Africa, as well as working with swimmers at all levels up to Olympic qualifiers, medallists and a world record holder.

He has presented regular clinics for both local and international swimmers and clubs and has spoken at conferences on subjects ranging from developing the new competitive swimmer and bridging the gap between LTS and club swimming to stroke development and correction for senior level swimmers.

Ian is Swimming South Africa and American Swimminig Coaches (ASCA) accredited.
