The GAF RAY Swimming Program is a unique initiative between Glenmark Aquatic Foundation and Ray Center.

The Program will provide aspiring swimmers with world class training to enable to swimmers to achieve glory at National and International meets.

The program covers complete life-cycle of swimming from learn to swim to elite swimming.

The GAF RAY program runs at the Ray Center in Wilson Garden Lakkasandra Bengaluru The complex has the following facilities:
A 50 m pool, A 25 m heated pool (under construction), An 18 m pool and a baby pool (Under construction).

The change rooms and the gymnasium are next to the pool.
GAF sponsors performance group swimmers for International Events.

Competitive swimming is the flagship programme of the GAF RAY program. We strive to increase the quality and quantity of competitive swimmers in India. Led by a set of dynamic coaches GAF aims to provide the best environment for success.

Learn to Swim

GAFRAY Swimming program follows a 18 session learn To Swim program specially designed for the kids in the age of 5 and above. In this course, the student needs to get comfortable with water: this includes kicking, bobbing, underwater exploration, floating and gliding with face in the water, open eyes under water.

Intermediate

This is for the group of kids who have been selected from Learn to Swim, who have just learnt to swim. Initially they will refresh the Learn to Swim skills, further they will be taught to swim 25mtr freestyle. Also teach the drills of Freestyle and Back stroke.

Stroke School

Main focus is to teach and develop good technique on all the four competitive strokes, progress from one stroke to the other. Also teach the starts and turns of all the four strokes. Should be able to swim all the four strokes with decent technique. Compete in the small meets like club galas and inter school meets

Pre-competitive

Continue to fine tune and master all the strokes, train all the four strokes regularly, Will continue to work on starts and turns, learning how to count strokes and swim efficiently. Will start training for the sub-junior state championships.

Competitive

This group has a minimum of 4 years experience. The swimmers demonstrate all the four strokes and are ready for competitions. Should look at developing the aerobic capacity, train all the four strokes regularly, always focus on stroke technique and stroke count. Learn how to check the heart rate. Focus is to improve the aerobic and anaerobic capacity along with the stroke technique. Specific event training.

Admissions

Admission for the Public batches and Adult Learn to Swim is done at the pool. We requests swimmers to visit the facility at Wilson Garden Lakkasandra to register for the program.

Admissions are subject to availability.

Swimmers desirous to join the competitive swimming batches should apply online by clicking the button below. The concerned coaches will call the swimmers for a trial. Swimmers will be absorbed to a specific batch in the program based on their age and ability.
