As the formal decade-long collaboration between the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and Glenmark Aquatic Foundation (GAF) comes to a close on September 1, 2026, we are filled with profound gratitude and pride.

What began in June 2016 as a shared vision to build a world-class high-performance swimming ecosystem in India has grown into a community of champions. But behind every record set, every national podium, and every international milestone are the true heroes of this journey: our swimmers and their families.

To our swimmers who are now moving on to the next chapters of their sporting and academic journeys, and to the parents who trusted us with their children's aspirations—this milestone belongs entirely to you.

🏊‍♂️ What We Built Together: A Decade of Excellence

Over the past ten years, the SAI-GAF ecosystem has transformed competitive aquatics across the country:

• Massive Grassroots & Elite Impact: Over 1,500 swimmers trained across premier high-performance hubs, including NCOE Delhi, LNCPE Thiruvananthapuram, and SAIGAF Gandhinagar, alongside grassroots integration via SAI’s Come and Play Scheme.
• Podium Dominance: Our athletes brought home over 100+ International Medals and 500+ National Medals, while consistently sweeping podiums at the National Games (24 medals in 2022; 12 medals in 2024).
• Setting New Benchmarks: Athletes broke national barriers repeatedly, clocking 30+ Best Indian Times across Long Course and Short Course pools.
• Global Footprints: From securing 3 Olympic 'B' Cuts to placing 6 swimmers in the 2023 Asian Games squad (the largest contingent from a single Indian academy, including India's sole female individual qualifier), our athletes proved that Indian swimming belongs on the world stage.

To every athlete who woke up for 5:00 AM workouts, pushed through grueling sets, and represented the academy with pride: you have built habits and mental grit that will serve you wherever you go. While the formal program under this joint agreement concludes, your journey in sports and life is just beginning. Continue to race fearlessly.

To Our Parents: Thank You for Your Trust

Elite sport is impossible without family sacrifice. From early morning commutes and nutrition planning to standing by your children through victories and heartbreak, your partnership has been the backbone of this academy. We thank you for entrusting your children’s growth to us over the past decade.

Looking Ahead

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Sports Authority of India, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, and all administrative and coaching staff. Though this formal agreement ends, the standard of excellence established over the last decade will continue to inspire Indian aquatics for years to come.
